Here is the backside of the grill. I made little mounting plates with some spare sheetmetal and sprayed them black so they don't rust and can't be noticed as much.

Interior install looks very nice and clean, I love it! Now just hard wire that radar detector and mount it higher and you'll be good to go!

I can tell you to listen to others advise on placement of the m27 blinder heads.(extra protection is very popular to use 3 heads up front and 1 in rear or put all 4 up front-depending on the size car/truck). place 1 jammer as close to each headlight and on a mustang i would put the 3rd jammer right in center mass allowing complete front protection as placement of 1 jammer next to each light and 1 center where the plate goes up front..and since shooting laser from the rear is so rare, use the one jammer right on center rear plate(like the zr4 shifter) and youll have some coverage from rear but the front will be more to worry about. in 10 years, ive only been hit from rear once in palm bch county when i had the bel lp-905 jammer. the cop only shot me from the rear cause he couldnt get a reading from the front so as i passed him at night and his cop buddy on motorcycles shot the laser to the rear and i think he only did this cause he couldnt get a speed reading on me. this was back in 2005. it was funny cause on pga blvd at night in palm bch fl, the cops were over the otherside of a small hill over i-95 and they were there waiting and i jammed his gun from front (he kept trying to get a speed reading but couldnt as he kept trying to get me as my jammers were screaming. he looked funny at me, looked at his gun and when i pulled up to the light just passed where they were at waiting for the light to turn when he shot my celica in the rear(at this point i knew he knew i had a jammer and he let me know by the way he was acting and then stopped at the light he tried to see if it was his prolaser or whatever-in 2005, cops didnt have very good laser guns like todays guns. and in 2005, the escort and bel laser jammers worked very well against the prolaser guns used in palm bch in 2005. palm bch also had the stalker and good thing i wasnt speeding cause the bel/escort lp-905/zr4 shifter failed miserably against stalker laser guns. with the stalker i knew he got my speed right away since the jammers went off once and that was it...usually, if your jamming him, the cop will keep setting the jammers off trying to obtain a speed. and unlike the prolaser constantly trying to aquire my speed and couldnt with the bel lp-905 but the stalker nailed me right away with little or no jamming to this gun.
look at several independant testing and you will see how bad the zr3/4/bel lp-904/905 does against most lidar guns. it does work for the prolaser guns but today there are so many different guns and different pulse rates the blinder m27 i decided to buy to go with my bel pro 300. as the m27 series doesnt false in sunlight like the bel/escort jammers. and the blinder is adjustable over the internet to update new technology right away where the escort/bel units come preloaded and would be costly to keep sending back everytime you need an update.
besides, every test ive seen, the blinder simply outperforms the belscort models by alot.
i dont even miss the connection with the zr4 shifter and linked up to the radardetector for an easy display reading. Besides, belscort falses way to much and is already outdated to new threats and some guns the belscort wont even jam at all. so the m27 series jammers from blinder is stand alone unit, and very loud with an option to hook it to the car stereo mute so not to miss an alert while jamming out to tunes.
While i love and prolly always will is beltronics for radar detection(or escort)-I simply prefer bel over the passport since 1990. They are both excellent units and I simply love the detection and durability through the years they keep getting better. I thought my bel 995(s7 antenna) andmy rx65 (m4 antenna)were so good(and they were) until I just bought the bel pro300 in june. After 2000 miles driving with it amazing performance on all bands(x off) k band doubled range compared to rx65/995. the new lens. off axis is superb. cant wait for some testing just to show how good this unit is.
And just as enthused about Belscort, I am equally enthused about Blinder. I was always a bel guy for my jammers until around 2010 i was really floored on the results from many different reviews and testing the blinder m27/47 series smashed the competitions biggest rival belscort zr4 jammers(shifters). Too many advantages from Blinder too list but since the test, belscort hasnt had software upgrade. still selling the zr4 shifter. If new things come out Blinder will let you simply take the cpu to the computer and download and make any changes you may want such as jam time( 7 sec, 10 secs, constant) and it simply outperforms the zr4 shifter. now Blinder has released a new hp-905 model far cheaper than Li jammers.
Yet the quality is there and it jam to gun on every gun out there on the video I saw from their website. Truly amazing and has voice alerts too identifying the lidar gun being used. And most important they help you with anything. I installed myself with my 12v friend who never did one but installed stereos so all in all it took some time to cut the grille but man it looks like its factory its that good. ill try to put a pic up. and having a small car 2 jammers is all i need. it is a small chevy cobalt type...so 1 jammer next to ea light and also covers center mass and was alot of fun installing.
and i had to call blinder for several helping questions, etc. and im so glad i did. for example-the jammers you wanted to keep the jammer with the cord facing center of car on both jammers. and alot of people mess this part up. it is how its suppose to be for max jamming without a punchthrough spot on the car cause you have 1 jammer not installed the right way cause it looks like you would do the opposite of the way to install but they helped me-see what i mean...customer service is very good. ive always been belscort guy on radar and laser until may 2012 when i decided on the m27 blinnder over the zr4 shifter which has 1 more head even for same price roughly. and it would link right to my bel pro 300...it was tempting but once i saw the results from different reviews i just decided to take a chance on the blinder as it seemed the better of the 2.
the blinder m27 has already in its 4th month(bought may 30th 2012) took 2 days to install(easy but time consuming and really 1 day and next morning finishing the interior.)
so in its early 4-5 months owning the unit. took long drives and the unit never heated up and had no issues at all. not 1 false. the m27 has already saved me from 3 legit saves. im in florida and laser is used just as much as laser...you never know. the company is very cool. i love belscort always for the units detection of radar.
and i love blinder for laser. i think they seperated themselves from escort now. there series whether the m27/47 series or the new hp-905 model is far superior to escort. period. very happy with customer service.
