Default 9500ci Laser Heads on 89 TTA

Here's my install on my 89 Turbo Trans Am which is got to be one of if not the hardest for the laser heads. The radar module easily installed behind the facia. Still has to be smoothed out and finished up but you get the idea.

Shoot that puppy and let us know how it does.

For those that don't know these ZR4 heads are a set on MEM-TEK modified heads.

Can't wait to see how they perform!

What does MEM-TEK do to these things? More powerful LED's or some sort of internal reflecter shield?

Only MEM-TEK knows and he's not saying.

That's an invitation I'm looking forward to. As Cat4 said these are the high-powered MEM-TEK heads that he sent to me for this hard install. Thanks again. Took pictures on every step of the way but couldn't get them all up, album only allows five pictures. Here are a few of the light module. I'll pm to make plans.

So, the first two pics are the ZR4's, what is the third pic a third shifter?

Also, mounting the ci radar receiver behind the plastic fascia will greatly reduce its sensitivity. Might as well mount a Redline inside up high but then you wouldn't have the GPS. I don't know if this is the best set up for this vehicle. Can't wait to see what Mem teks super duper ZR4's do.

The third pic is from a top angle. The only way to make it straight was to angle it and it sticks out a little bit. Also wanted to do that to make sure it's not tucked to far back that it would inhibit detection.
Regarding the radar module, there seems to be two sides on this issue. Some say it will affect the detection but just slightly, not enough to make a difference. Also the Escort techs say that. .Then I hear your version that it will affect it greatly. What is considered a decent range for the 9500ci radar module? Or does it depend on what gun is being used?
