I was lucky enough to win a FREE Safe-nSound1.com Direct Wire Cord w/Round Mute Button kit directly from the website, right after I got my 9500ix. I just bought a used 2009 Honda Odyssey Touring right before Christmas, so I was really looking forward to keeping the install as clean as I could.
I decided to mount the mute button & lights in the "ashtray"/cup holder since it's easy to see and the button falls in direct contact with my finger, when it is on the armrest and I can close the cover and even push it flush w/the dash if I want to.
The LEDs come "naked" with no mounts so i used small rubber cubes I had to mount them flush to the bottom of the metal plate. I cut the cubes to size and drilled a hole the same diameter as the LEDs and just pushed them in.

I have an aftermarket tint strip on the windshield, so I didn't want to mount the 9500ix too high up, plus at the level it is now, you can't see it from the outside unless you are really looking for it.

Here's a better picture of the positioning.

I was really impressed with the quality and completeness of the Safe-n-Sound1 kit. It came w/mini cable ties and even a free mini fuse blade tap and very detailed directions. The wires were the perfect length to run the mute button and LEDs from the ashtray/cupholder and the power, ground and adapter were long enough also.
