    Default Video editing question

Does anyone know how to boost brightness and contrast levels of video clips before editing the clips themselves? I got a dark video that looks 100 times better in windows media player with contrast and brightness turned up. However I can't make that video do the same in windows movie maker. Any other program that can do that?

Its only the brightness I can change from movie maker. I need the contrast or else the whole video washes out...

You could always DL the trial of Premiere. Adobe has fully functional 30 day trials of pretty much all of their software.
