The direct wire power adapter (your second picture) comes with the wiring harness connector (your third picture). But I'd get a direct wire power adapter kit as it also comes with a straight power cord. You'll need this cord to run power to the V1. So, just to direct wire V1 into your car, you need:

-Direct wire power adapter kit (Item #00030)

I don't think you need another mount as it's easy to transfer V1 and its attached mount, as a unit, over to another car.

If you're planning on using a concealed display in the second car, just buy it from VR (Item #20110, on the 'Defense Gear' page). It comes with the second straight power cord that you'll run from the direct wire power adapter's 'accessory' port to the concealed display unit itself.

    Hope this helps.

Depends on the cost difference. The straight power cord is simply a standard RJ-11 phone cord. Any phone extension cord will do(except watch out for the micro thin ones, I tried one and it made my V1 flip out), so you can goto Walmart or wherever and get one for next to nothing.

Talk to jimbonzz he will tell you how to do it with a phone cord and it will be cheaper if you don't need the concealed display in both cars

I would advise getting a second mount. It is much easier to slide the V1 out of one mount and into another. Sometimes it takes a few attempts to get the suction cups to stick the first time. I got tired of dealing with moving the mount and it is pretty cheap to buy a second one.

I also have concealed displays in both cars.

I also just use phone cables from radio shack, just make sure the cords have 4 contacts on the plugs.

just got the car yeterday, i already bought another windshield mount

to hardwire, which part do i have to buy? i want to have an option of putting a remote display

This the only thing I need

    Direct-Wire Power Adapter Kit
    Item 00030

Direct-wire power adapter (Item 20305) and a Straight power cord (Item 20311) together at a reduced price.

I basically want the parts that came with my V1 that i used to hardwire in my old car

    - the wire that goes to the power source and ground

    - wire from that to the V1- (phone cord?)

yes, that is all you need. If you decide to add the remote display, you'll just plug it into the second jack.
