Default Found my first LEO with my new V1

Well, got the v1 yesterday and immediately threw it in the car and started off driving to find a LEO. 1/4 of a tank later and some miles - I found nothing. Oh well. I didn't care - I felt like a God driving around. This morning on my way to work. . I take urban and these guys usually sit in the same spot everytime. The LEO was using his K band (yet to hear the KA go off yet) and I think it was instant-on? Does instant on K exist?? So anyway I think it was Instant because the v1 first went off at 4 dots about 3/4 to 1/2 mile away - I was approaching a stop sign so he probably wanted to get me before I started to slow down for it. After the 4 dots, it went away for a few seconds Than as he got closer I could see him he went full until he passed me, as soon as he passed me, the V1 let it go. Now I know the v1 has rear radar antenna and it has picked up from the rear, so I know it can see. Is there a chance he was using instant-on?

Yes, sounds like instant-on to me. Instant-on exists on all bands, including X.

It's cool that you already scored a save with your new V1.
If I'm passing you on the right, YOU are in the wrong lane!

If speed kills, how come I'm still alive?

Don't get too cocky because about the time you feel invinsible you get hit with laser or instant-on.

you can say that again, you still have to use your eyes and pay attention.

Instant on is a very sneaky tool if used correctly.

Yeah, you don't want to get a ticket driving while euphoric LOL!

I prefer the instant on operators that are trigger happy.

The cops would always give me strange looks when I drove by their instant on traps in my TA. They couldn't believe I was driving at exactly the posted speed limit LOL! I would pick them up 2 miles away when they were clocking someone else. Never ignore that brief K or Ka blip, especially when you're driving out in the boonies.

Memorize what the front end of a Crown Vic looks like, and recognize the headlight pattern after dark too. The Impala is more problematic because there are more of those on the road.

    oh yeah X2 X2

today I was coming down a road where cops are known to set up speed traps, but this one is like one i've never seen before. there was a guy standing out with a radar gun and a stop sign, he would throw up the stop sign when he got a speeder and another cop that was waiting would write them a ticket or give a warning (glad i didn't have to find out). first time i saw him i was going the opposite way from where he was shooting and got no detection on V1, so I came around to see what was up. he pointed straight towards me and a van, but I still got nothing. talk about needing SHARP obversvation. I could have *very easily* been going 40-45 on 30psl thinking i was all hardcore, I would have been screwed.
