Does "A" mode override custom settings?

I know this must have been discussed previously, but I searched a bunch of threads and read through the manual but I'm still fuzzy on this: If I switch to "A" mode, say for a road trip or other out-of-city driving, will the V1 override my custom settings? For instance, will I get X-band detection back even though I have it programmed to be off in the L-modes?

Option 7 K-Band muting (and related options) are not used in "A" mode. Any of your other custon settings should work in "A" mode.

what jim said and just to specifically add your x-band will still be disabled if you have it programmed that way, a-mode won't effect that setting.

On my V1, X-band is still disabled, and Ka still has the increased reporting level if I'm in A mode.
