    Default Power Splitting Question

I'm about to go on a road trip. I have two cig-lighter/power outlets in the vehicle. I'm going to want to plug in my GPS, the V1, a DVD video system and a cooler. That's each outlet split into two. *Just how many devices can I safely run off of each outlet?* [One might ask why I'm asking this here in the V1 forum? Well, one, it does involve my V1 and two, I don't know where the Cig-Lighter/Power Outlet forum is.... ] Thanks.

in my uncles van we ran an RD Gps 3 phone chargers and a tv/dvd thing on 2 outlets with out much trouble, lots of splitters. if that makes you feel un-comfterble(sp sorry) you could quickly hardwire the V1 and plug the other 3 in the. but 2 in each shouldnt be a problem at all.

If you really want to know. Find out the current (amps) drawn by each device. Add them up. Should not exceed your outlets fuse rating. The V1 draws less than a half an amp in alarm mode. Only thing to be concerned with is fan or compressor interference from your cooler.
