Some times the v1 can be very impressive on its range and others its like wow if would have been speeding i would have been nabed... It kinda feels like a rmr ..?? i don't know maybe its just my mount but i don't think so as i have checked it time and time again its like the rear antenna picks up the radar better than the front..??? Maybe it needs to go back to v1 im confused because i have never heard or seen of this problem on the forum before everybody brags up there v1's... i love mine don't get me wrong i just im confused as to this preformance glitch... and it picks up everything under the sun it falses alot..even in L mode with x band off...

k and ka i almost got a k band ticket last night due to v1's late response time.... it was a leo comeing at me and he was doing instant on k band triggers at was hitting every car that came by he seemed to be a man on a mission there where three other cars out infront of me about 1000ft and i got no alert to him hitting them the first alert i got was him instant on tritggering me this scared me luckily i wasn't speeding or id have a ticket !! v1 let me down..

And yes he may of not had his gun on untill he hit me but the way he was going radar crazy i highly doubt it he was triggering at everything under the sun they have kustom signals k band guns as i have looked at there cars before at night... Which seems to be a very popular gun which also has me spooked because if it doesn't pick that up in enough time im gonna be screwed around here... and last night i had no advanced warning it was just ehhhhhhhhhh ehhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh and he had my speed... I have had the same problem on and off with ka band it acts like an x-50 every once in awhile you'll get a good 4.3 miles of ka reception then the next trigger your lucky to get 200ft....

How do you know he was clocking the other cars? The only way you would know for sure is if you had cell phone or radio contact with the other cars and they had RDs on. If you were running your X50 at the same time as the V1 would be the only other way to know.

Instant on can be very deceiving. That's why the cops love to use it. You may have been the first car that he clocked. If he was clocking the other cars and you did not detect them then that would be poor performance.

I know im guessing here but trust me the way this guy was triggering he clocked them other cars i know dang well he did... So that isn't the question the question is why didn't v1 alert..?? Ya there may have not been radar but through that one out of your mind because there was he hit the other cars as my wife was the first car in that row with my x-50 and it alerted here to k band so yes they did get shot...

Sending in V1 to have it looked at after only haveing it for 3 weeks now... using x-50 as backup till it gets back..

KA will always be a challenge to detect, sometime youll get great range, other times itll be only hundreds of feet.

I am sure that when you were hit with the K band, he instant on'd your car.
