I had gotten the dreaded 'E' on my month old v1. I called and they told me to send it in. Just got it back and checked the version..... 3.8.5.6. Seems like someone isn't doing their software testing very well.

Just got my V1 upgraded and returned as 3.854 on Tuesday of this week. -3 days ago. If the 3.856 is true, I am not sending mine in unless I get a "E" message.

I own a V1 (3.854) and I now see 3.856!!! I think enough is enough and I am sticking with my Bel Pro RX65 because all these versions so fast makes me think something is wrong with the V1's. Now I must update my signature and hope that Bel doesn't start having problems :roll:

I dont see why this is unaccepable, they made a change in their product and there are some bugs that need to be worked out(in some units). Can someone please explain why it is so bad?

Let me just say this. I ordered my v1 on 7/20 after using escorts for about 10 years, wanted a change. I found it to be a very good rd. One day after having the rd for about 2 or 3 weeks, I drove over to the local Costco. My car had been in the garage and the Costco is only about 5 miles max from my house, it was probably in the 80's temperature wise. On the way to Costco after driving for maybe 10 mins I looked at the display and there was the "E", I though WTF? Put the V1 in my console and went into Costco for an hour, came out turned it on and after a couple of mins got the "E" again. I was on version 3.851. I called V1 and told them I was getting the "E", was told to send it back, they would even pay for the postage. I was going in for an operation on my right foot the end of August so I told them I'd probably wait a week or two before sending it in. Right before the operation I sent it in with a note detailing the conditions of the "E" and told them not to worry about the postage just fix the unit. Now I only got the "E" that one time, but I thought may as well get it fixed while it's under warantee. I got the rd back today and the first thing I did was go to the garage and plug it in to check the version mostly just to see if it was upgraded, and that's when I saw the 3.8.5.4.

I was always treated nicely by v1 cust service, even when I called for a tracking number.

What version do you have .854 or .856? in this post you say .856 in your last post you say .854.
