    Default Friend of mine got his V1 saturday (yest), "e" on

    LOL

    I was telling him about this forum and all the problems the V1 was having.

    I told him he COULD get the v1 and return it within 30 days if he didnt like it... but, I also mentioned all the problems (as mentioned above).

    He said, "v1 is the best, and I only want the best", so, I he did order it

    On sat, we put it in his car and went for a drive, "E" within 20 minutes

    You guys have no idea how hard i was laughing and how much he was cursing

    Hey guys

    Im the one that impulse is refering to

    I ordered the detector and we tried it out yesterday

    we were crusing along, and the damn thing just spazed out

    Im going to call on monday and see what I can do

    In all honesty, im going to return it (as ive read all these threads)

    and im gonna contact roy to see if i can get the X50 in blue! (blue will match my car :wink: )

    try it out, see how you like it, and tell us all about it, we'd love to hear...................and with ANY purchase, whether its an RD, a computer, or anything like that, you should always do your homework first IMO

    A small suggestion that might help validate these "E" problems is to take a photo of the display, even with a phone camera. A short video 320x240 would be even more validating.

    The photos can then be sent to Valentine should a unit be returned to prove the error occurred whether or not diagnostic info has been saved to memory in the V1. And those images could be posted here for the let's say, "V1 fans" to see.

    Damn, I totally wish I would ahve thought of that - now I gotta hope they can see the data and hope it got saved.

    It is still under the 30 days. . its simple - they call me a liar - I'm gonna tel them to keep it and than the audio unit is also on its way back (still under 30 days) and I'll expect a refund to my credit card. . I don't expect them to be rude - and I don't plan to be rude - but I have my mind set if they plan on being rude.
