Should I Order Today?

With all of these Revisions... Mr V should do something about it.... i think its a way to get more cash all the time...... And IMO so many revisions in short spans is gona hurt the big V...

So im gonna email him and suggest that he instal some sort of USB port, that we can hook up to the computer and go to a a V1 website and download new revisions.... Heck I dont care if he charges for them...you got to admit this would be a sweet deal.

I will dream a little dream.........

The majority of his customers don't have a clue about the revision changes and E and whatever else. Also a USB port would be no good if the hardware had slight changes between revisions.

Thanks for all the information guys.

I got on the phone today and ordered the V1. A tech answered the phone and was very nice. I spoke with him for a couple of minutes before he transferred me over to sales.

The V1 should arrive Thursday.

My X50 will be sent back for repair (laser falsing ever minute or so).

I had a V1 a couple of years ago and I loved it. I hope this V1 is problem free as well.

I will report back what revision number I have.

Grr - I want my v1 to come back today!! They've had it for a week now. GRRRRRR

I think 3.856 is still the newest and hopefully will stay that way for awhile. Elsewise - lets see how everything goes and thus far I believe only 1 person has reported an E on it.

You made a great choice - hope you enjoy it.

Did you order the concealed display as well?

I seriously doubt it is a way to "get more cash."

Valentine Research didn't charge me for upgrades and I went from V1.8 POP1 3.817 to V1.8 POP2 3.824 and then I sent it in again to get a free upgrade to 3.826.

I was never charged anything for all these upgrades and I bought my V1 new in October of 2004 so that is almost 2 years of free upgrades!

VR has told us from the start of when they went to 3.851 there is no need to upgrade and they are still telling us that for 3.856! If they wanted more cash....they would have been telling you to send it in immediatly to get better benafits etc.......

VR has told us from the start of when they went to 3.851 there is no need to upgrade and they are still telling us that for 3.856! If they wanted more cash....they would have been telling you to send it in immediatly to get better benafits etc.......
