And, about automute, it's a bad idea because a secondary signal can be hid behind the first (muted) alert, which is bad due to falsing spots / several broadcasted signals / multiple "traps."

Can't they just make every signal auto-mute... instead of once auto-mute goes on, all will auto-mute(which seems like what they're implying.)

Unless asked specifically, they're probably not going to volunteer that they had to release a new version to fix a problem with the old one. VR runs an honest business but they're not going to do anything to stir up doubt of their own accord. That's just business.

thanks for the info. I've noticed that, among other quirks, so i've been revamping most of my test on the different modes.
If option "A' is left at default, at least the "bogey lock tone" will alert at the louder volume, instead of the muted volume set by the control lever, letting you know of additional alerts.

The jury's still out on whether mine has the "Junk" problem. it has happened once, but i'd like to confirm it again, to be sure.

You called that right, business is business. It can be a fine line between coming 100% straight with customers and not harming your business by doing so. I guess that's what "revisions with minor changes" are for.
