    Default Should I switch from X50 ver5 to latest V1 ?

    Guys,

Right now I have X50 ver5 and I have never had V1 before, I read alot of posts where people report good Ka range on V1 but also alot of false alarms Should I wait until they come up with new updates for V1 so I can try it out or am I safe to buy it now and see if I like ?

    Thanks

its not false alarms..it is detecting the freq it should...its just that it is not a cop.

I personally would go a V1 if you do alot of highway driving...but if you do alot of city driving id say stick to the X50

yes they offer the 30 day try thing, thats what i did and it was great, but i now have a X50 and like the filtering alot. However on the 30 day thing, they must recieve it within 30 days. This was almost an issue with me because mail problems and with the holidays and alll just make sure you give it plenty of time to get back home

You really have to choices here, you can get a Detector relay to you alot of information about radar sources or you get a detector that does the filtering for you.

Both will make any user happy but i like to have the rear detection from the V1.

    Default Arrows

One word: "Arrows" It's like that saying once you go arrows you want go back. I honestly don't know how I managed without the arrows. I mean on all the other detectors you get a beep and the band ID..you have no clue where to look for the cop..he could be behind you, off to the side eating donuts, or up front. The V1 allows you to locate the direction the radar is coming from and allows you the option to slow down or continue driving at speed. When you don't know where the radar is coming from your pretty much stuck going slow and clueless as to where the cop is.

Besides that it has a rear radar antenna more durable case and can count up to 7 radar sources at a time on any band.

    goodluck on your choice

It's nine sources on any band with flashing arrows and flashing band id for the biggest threat.
Another nice thing about the rear antenna is that when a LEO is working radar going the opposite direction but you cannot see him anymore you know far in advance if he turns around and is now coming behind you.

not to open a pissing match but you are retarded if you ever ignore an alert on your RD on the highway, especially after time and time again the arrows have been proven to be not 100% accurate. Unless you are in a known false spot and the arrows, count, and band tell you its the same old false you sure better be on the brakes or at least watching the speedo in case the alert turns out to be more threatening. A lot of rear hits on the x50 and the V1 sound very much like false alerts, they are weak and ramp up slowly sometimes cutting in and out, and yes you can get ticketed from behind so dont ignore something just because the arrow says behind.
Sorry to come down hard on a fellow zombie and dont get me wrong I have logged just under 1000miles with my new V1 and the arrows are pretty sweet but in my opinion dont make or break the deal with me. Sick Ka range made my mind up for me, mine absolutely owned those TxHP stalkers all day when I was at home for thanksgiving.
