Keep the volume(s) down... then after it has booted up... turn the volume(s) up to ur desired level.
Good Point.. I just thought the same..

Another way is to push the mute button immediately after you start up, you might get the first beep or two but it will never make it to the laser tone.
This is also quicker than waiting for it to cycle before turning up.
I actually love the sound of the V1's start up it sounds cool, to me.
Agreed, refreshes my memory(as if I have forgotten) which tones are which.Originally Posted by NikkaLB23
V1.7 has an option in the reprogramming to hear X and K band in both muted and regular volume, keeps going at a steady tone until you proceed to the next one.
The Rx-65 will absolutely drive you nuts if you have the long start up rather then the short on that skips all the tones. Worst start up I have seen.
I once almost got a ticket when after a random alcohol test, negative of course I drive fast but never drink, I started the engine with the windows down and the LEO still close to the car, he came back and asked what the hell was that noise, and went directly to look in the front grille of my car for the antenna of a detector (In spain most detectors are remote Bel975-r namely...with antennae hidden in the grille or inside the bumper...) .
I reacted fast and told him it was my parking sensor that made that noise and with little convincement he'd let me go... I thanked god for my ultra-stealth V1 concealed installation :P
Back to the point... I think this is a good reason why you would like to skip the sound test at start up... don`t you think so?...
Regards...
Matt.
