I just checked the ESCORTRADAR site and they are (and have in the past) offered a free 30 day test drive. Of course you're going to pay for it and return it if you don't like it to get your $$$ back.
I can't seem to find a BEL site other than EURO. And there were no RX65s on the 1 I did see.
One more thing I noticed in the site, ESCORT states the 8500x50 can be reprogrammed for new radar and laser threats, so I hope they are looking to future improvements to be immune to Spectre II/III.
Well, beware of that 30 day money back policy. I love about 15 minutes away from the damn place. They said theyc ould have a turn around in 2 days. I returned my v1 last thursday, and I still havnt seen a check...
hmmm... www.beltronics.com ??? :shock:Originally Posted by SETITOFF

I was in a time warp at the time...trying to get out of here and go home, only to start again at 04:30.
Thanks Smaart (i see the implied name) - as I thought Bel has a 30day guarantee also. Time to start test-drives.
How come the Bell Rx65 or whatever the newest one is doesnt rate up to the v1 or the x50 in popularity???
I'm not sure why; may be due to it's loss of individualism, being a near mirror image of 8500X50 in performance. I'll be getting one soon and will see what it does for me. Then I'll give MHO.
It may be related to aesthetics. Personally I prefer the X50 to the RX65, but when comparing say a Passport 6800 to my now deceased BEL 855STi, well, the BEL was UGLY!
Plus "BEL-TRONICS" is a pretty crummy name IMO, but hey, if it keeps a valid driver's license in my pocket...
Smaart, I got a Whistler door stop you can have. It still powers up and detects something. Don't remember the model of it. I put it in my wife's Max and she takes it down...doesn't understand what it's telling her when it goes off. It's only a couple years old.
