Lasered in Central Illinois- question about alert

I was driving back home yesterday and hit the Lasalle/Peru area. Observed a ISP trooper in the meidan. Thought "what the hell is going on?" as I got no warning from my V1. Then it happend...... :shock: LASER!

Here is my quesiton. About 2-3 seconds later my blinder kicks on and goes and goes....obvious it was working. DId I get splatter from another car? Or did he miss the plate area the first shot?

Blinder/V1= 1 Illinois state police = 0

Where is your V1 mounted? If it's up high, it's possible that it picked up a shot intended for a car in front of you.

The other possibility is the operator aimed a little too high on the first shot and hit your V1 before it hit the Blinder.

How far away were you from the shooter when he hit you, approximately?

At least you got some advance warning so you could slow down in time.

Sounds to me like you picked up some scatter.

My V1 is mounted as high as I can get it on the windshield. I think I got scatter as I had 2 cars in front of me and it appeared he was aiming at them. I was impressed by the warning.

To expand a bit I got the waringing then it went quiet. Then the V1 and blinder went off at the same time.

The first alert (V1 only) was scatter from a car in front of you. The second alert (V1 and Blinder) was when you were targeted.

Well I hate to say this because I will get bashed again but that's impressive to me. Never would have happend with my RX 65.

It's obvious that the V1 has insane laser detection everyone knows this. but the sensitivity comes with added laser falses which would not be gotten RX65.....But for detecting Laser and giving an advanced alert the V1 is 100 times better than any other detector

It's probably not the headlights but a laser-based automatic cruise control that some of these expensive cars have. Infinitis in particular have a tendency to set off my V1 on laser. :roll:
