Problems with my V1? K band programming and Ka band

After using my V1 for a couple of days now, I don't seem to be getting any Ka hits. I've passed about 5 leos now and the v1 sits silent...i doubt all 5 had their radar off. I even drove by the campus police station and it sits silent where as my rx65 would pick up ka easily in that area.

I only picked up one true ka the first day I used it and ever since then, nada. I am quite disappointed. I get k and x falses fine, but not ka

As for the k band programming, it still alerts when the signal is only at one led. I dont think its muting for 30 seconds at the onset of k band.

Suggestions?

If you still have the other RD, find a Ka source. Then do a drive by with your V1 and see if you get anything.

im planning on doing that once i get my rx65 back, had to send it in cause the speaker went out

You picked up Ka once so I am guessing that it is working, LEO's don't leave their radar on that much.
As for K band auto it has to be one of three things,
Section (7) arrow down.
Muted lever all the way down.
V1 has to be in a logic mode.
(A) mode overrides K auto.

I do have option 7 down, but it seems to alert when k band is at one led signal still. pretty sure 30 seconds hasnt past either.

and does "mute rear k-band" get overrided or does it just always mute?

Don't use advanced logic mode (L) as you can't see if a K band signal is being muted.
Use logic mode so you can watch the muted LED's
(G) rear K auto will never run out of time, and (A) mode will override it.
