Default Sent V1 in for Checkup/Repair

I sent my V1 in last week for a checkup/repair. It seemed as if the range had diminshed some. I called on Monday and the tech said it had been repaired and road tested and was fine now. I got it back today. I was curious to what version it would be. I sent it off as a 3.826 and got it back as a 3.826. No upgrade plus there was no charge for it getting a checkup/repair. I wonder why they didn't upgrade the software? Who knows....I'll guess I'll check it out in the next day or two and see if it's back to par.

Got to mention, this was great customer serviced as I had expected from VR.

If you told them to upgrade, it would have cost you money but you just asked for a check up.

Bren... oops... Jazzy has it right with his double posting...

You simply asked for your unit to be tuned/repaired, so they retuned it and returned it to you 'as new' just like when you first got your .826. That costed you nothing (minus shipping).

You have to ask to be brought up to the 'newest' unit, which would have been a useless waste of money for you... all you really need is a .826 in tune.

3.826 is the "newest" software for that hardware version. It is actually one of the best, if not the best, software versions.

3.851 is a hardware upgrade, and 3.826 is a very stable version.

That is subjective, but it seems to be the majority consensus except for the newbies who don't know better.
