Default K band muting = X band muting

Just this discovered this lately. I did program my V1 to have 7 arrow down, B arrow down, C & D arrow up. and E arrow down. This was to mute K band for 30 seconds and unmute if signal strength goes up to 5.

When doing this, i noticed that it also automutes X band. Can you guys with the 3.826 version check this out and see if your unit does the same thing? I use to program my detectors to disable X band but enabled it lately.

X band will always mute in logic or advanced logic mode until the threshold is exceeded. In logic mode it will report at the muted volume, in advanced logic it won't report at all until the threshold is exceeded. Your programming options don't have any effect on this.

Are you saying it was in A mode?

I don't know about that but the other day I was driving by a walgreens that uses K band door sensors. I drive in Little L mode with K band muted in the rear and muted for 30 seconds. Well right next to the Walgreens is a NJ Trooper Barracks with a parking lot full of X band loaded cruisers. As I pass the both the X band and K band overload (Bogey count is at 4) causes the K band to alert at normal volume. K band indicator is flashing and the rear arrow is flashing while K band is blaring away.

Mode was in little L. If it's normal, then i have no problems with it. Just thought that you mute the K band source only when it was set up the way i did it.
