turning up Ka sensitivity

I just got a V1 and it saved me a ticket the first night already! What are the pros and cons of turning up Ka sensitivity. I live in NJ where they still use a lot of X. The traffic speed signs so far are K.

There's no way to turn up Ka sensitivity:

-You can turn off the Ka false alert guard, in which case you will be plagued by false alerts from other radar detectors

-You can make the signal strength meter for Ka more responsive, which means that more LEDs light up sooner

That only affects the meter. Give it a try after you are really comfortable with the unit. I wouldn't make any changes for a good while.
