Good work, similar to this guy, but I like M3's rear cover a lot better.

No.
Even if you could find some way to physically separate them from the circuit board, their distance from each other is important for the software to correctly weigh signal strength and timing to properly identify a signal, determine where it is coming from, and how many there are.
If you are so happy with a front-only detector, then you should be more than satisfied installing it up front and blocking the rear horn.
100% impossible, because of the way V1 is constructed.Originally Posted by HawkMt210

Also, fellow LGT driver MrCoffee uses a retractable phone cable to hook-up his V1 to his chosen power-source - thus allowing a "disappearing cord" setup for when his detector is dismounted.

Can't help you much on your other desire - to coneal the unit itself - but to conceal the display (and in some cases, rig-up different controls, such as the foot-pedals), I've compiled a list of option for you above that you may or may not have seen.
Now, if you look in Professor Jim's signature, you'll see that he's got a nifty little thing called the "Software One" - integrating the V1 into your laptop. If you routinely run a laptop in your vehicle for things like tuning/datalogging, or if you utilize a carputer, this might be a good thing for you, too.
And, of course, per your other wish:

This thread may supply you with some ideas.
Best of luck!

Yep you can't do this because the antennas only work when they are close together.
You can't do this because it isn't possible. The antennas themselves are cast as one piece. And, they share one oscillator.

Every once in a while, Jim, you post another fascinating picture that I scour and trace for several minutes.Do you have a central gallery that I can browse of all your guts pics?
