    Sorry for the tease guys. I decided that I couldn't afford 500 bucks for another detector right now so I went with an X50 as a backup instead. I would have gone with the refurb V1 but couldn't get it definitely in time. I'll definitely try it out down the road though.

    True except I need the concealed display (I am close to Va and DC) and I definitely need a headphone jack which requires the external audio adapter (the only way I am allowed to use my RD when on trips with the Family). Brings you close to 500, especially since Valentine wouldn't give me free 2nd day shipping which Escort did without really even asking. The x50 should get here tomorrow but my STi just got back tonight. I guess I'll try out the x50 some just for fun anyways.
