Default Tested a V1 this past week

Well, for thursday and friday a friend at work let me borrow his V1 for a few days as he felt sorry for me being detectorless. Needless to say, the fact that it is three years old, he never took it down out of his windshield since day one, it is HARD wired (e.g., stays on when key is off) so it has been on for the most part three years, I was expecting it to suck. heh....it blew me away, not only was it more sensitive than my X50 was on K band, but on X as well. I only had one Ka encounter, and it was a good mile or so constant on, so I haven't got to experience enough Ka yet. I absolutely LOVE the arrows, I was one of the ones that always said "well if it beeps I slow down"....yeahhhh not anymore  One thing I am a bit concerned about is while pulling a U-Turn for the starbucks drive through line, the X50 AND STi always alerted about 2-3 K and X band strength level all the way around the turn while waiting in line...the V1 however stopped alerting after I was on the other side of the "U"...the door sensors are perpendicular to where I was facing...soooo I dunno...the unit is three years old, has never been sent in for service, it doesn't owe anybody anything....I'm sorry for doubting you guys! *begs to be let back into the zombie club* I'm definitely going to be getting one as soon as Beltronics decides to give me my $#(*#$*&# money back

3.818 from what I remember, that would actually place this at december of 04, so technically it would be 2 1/2 years old rather than three according to the software list, but still! baking in the sun that long and being on too...wowza!

    Welcome aboard Venomizer :-)

The V1 is like in the matrix when they say to Neo, you probably only see a bunch of code on the screen, I see blonde, brunette, redhead.

    Behold the V1!
