Default Got my 3812 v1 and its nice And the serial # came up clean..

I havent gotten around to using it yet but..
First impression as Its small as shyt and the coolest radar detector I have ever held by far....

I called v1 and spoke with pete as he said the serial number comes up clean and Its in my name now...

What A relief as I know now its not stolen..Thanks Pete!!!!

I am getting ready to set the settings in it as I only did a rev check to see that it was the 3812...
I will update yall after I get to play with it a few hours now
I am going to set it up as I want it now...I am not going to short it out due to excitement either....
    c ya later...way later

Drive by known X and K signals/door openers. My 812 was not responsive to X and K. I sent it in and now it is as good as new.

Just be careful until you know with 100% certainty that it is detecting all bands.

Well I hevent gotten any x responses but the k seems to be out of tune....
But first impressions using it out of tune is, its a very distinctive and, the arrows are really on.
I will use it for a while beforte sending it in...I cant find the programming page now I been searching

You mean this programming page? https://store.valentine1.com/lab/MikesLabRpt3.asp

But let me know how you like it. I'm waiting for a refurbished one from V1. They said they'd call me. I called in today and they had one in stock and asked if they could hold, they couldn't. So I quickly went to the bank and back home and called back only to find out that it already got sold. :x
I wanted to test it out on my drive from Norman to Dallas but it turns out I'll have to wait.

Well I just had a x encounter and its sickly senitive on x band..
Not so impressed with the k band but its a tad bit more sensitive than the x50 rev 5....
One thing I did notice is that when mounting it low it just seems ok, when high it is way more chattier..
    K isnt that steady..
ka band I am not sure but I get a quick false in this spot but my guard is off!!!

I'm going to school in Norman at OU. I'm actually moving into my apartment tomorrow. Do you know if Norman and OKC cops use X band or not?
