They can be extended a short period of time passed the 20 years if the patent is improved.
Anyone can take an original patent and improve on the idea at any time and submit for a new patent (as long as it’s a different enough or improved).
I would think if a Belscort's RD verbally told you where the radar was coming from would get around V1's patent. It depends on how good/detailed V1's patent is.

They finally acknowledged the V1 is best and they are "second best"???

The 9500i is a joke with its "k band lockout bs". They should get their crap straight before they make fun of a superior unit.

Your right the V1 is the best by far... at Falseing, Noise, antiquated technology and design.

Don’t forget the detection range is really awesome! You get to hear mind numbing noise all the way home so you’ll never fall asleep at the wheel.

or how about how easy it is to program: L,l,A,a,j,b,c,d,e,f,g... WTF????

    Awesome RD! 8) GO V1

That was a joke by the way.

Anyway, i dont need to prove anything about the V1. It has its flaws like any detector.

You strike as the kind of guy who wants a "gentleman's race car" and can't stand the open headers and excessive valve noise (despite wanting "hardcore" performance)

Hmm, you probably won't understand that analogy though since you find the V1 hard to program....................lol

That’s me Nothing like my 270hp Acura TL with K&N air intake. The 0-60 is just under 6 seconds. 8)

However, there is nothing like an old 1969 Dodge Charger 426 Hemi with a set of headers. 8)
