Do you have activated the extra features (a...f or whatever). There is a automute setting for K Band in a adjustable range of 3....30s :wink:
If you disable these feature settings, the V1 will maybe respond earlier. But usually K Band has such a good range...i've set the mute to 30s and auto wake up at a signal strength of 4 indicators. Thats erarly enough and will shorten falses (in switzerland all falses are only K Band. I never had a Ka, Ku, X Band or Laser falses in switzerland since over six years (and 2 Valentines...v1.7 and V1.8 3.824)![]()

The only thing I did was turn off pop mode.
I did somewhat expect some defensiveness but really don't mean this to be a slam on V1. Just thought it was interesting since the GOL tests all report V1 as tops on K band.
Possibly slightly out of tune?
What version is your V1?
You may have to send the V1 in. The heat took it's toll on mine after a few years of never taking out of the window. K band detection had decreased significantly. I sent it in and it came back better than ever. I've noticed that my STi outperforms my V1 in 35.5 Ka by a slight margin, but my V1 is top dawg in K band detection by a decent margin.Originally Posted by mikego

It can happen...
For example, run #3 of the "8500 X50 #2" beat ALL of the "Valentine One #1" and "Valentine One #3" test runs, and beat one of the test runs against "Valentine One #2".
But real-world conditions can vary... a LOT. So when you do several test runs and average them they can come out a lot different than the results from a single test run.
