Newb--Hi

Just wanted to say Hi to the Forum. I have been lurking for a couple weeks to catch up on a lot of the posts and get the info I needed b4 asking the typical Newb Boob questions.

I just purchased my V1 3.863 a couple weeks ago. I haven't got to use it a lot yet (to from work) but have done some basic programming to enable b-G and adjust the time for the K band mute to 20 seconds.

I was hoping to start a post with Version #s and known bugs/upgrades. I know there is already a sticky with Version #s and upgrades but not many specifics are in there. Does Mr. V list the specific hardware and software upgrades by version anywhere?

V1 Rocks no doubt. I have wanted one for about 10 yrs now and finally bit the bullet. I have had cheap Whistlers, a couple decent Bels, and a Uniden in the past but haven't owned a RD for about 5 yrs. Man am I glad to have a RD especially the V1.

for now 3.863 seems to be pretty rock solid. The only thing I've noticed is on some of the bogey counters they look a little fuzzy compared to my 3.813.

I agree, so far it has been rock solid for now. I get a ton of false X band in town and can't disable it being in Ohio. A mute button will be in the works soon. I will get to test the bogey counters soon with a trip from Ohio to South Carolina.

Congrats, its impressive that a new person can program the V1. Well, so many people complain that its difficult but obviously its not if new person can even do it.

LOL The first time I read a post about programming I was like WTF?? Then I put the V1 into program mode and understood what they meant by Enable 1 arrow up or Disable J arrow down. I guess being a nerd can pay off sometimes
