Default Bogey Lock not much help???

Well i have been experiencing a problem with my V1. It seems that whenever i pass a full strength K band source it ghosts. It always seems to ghost an extra K band and KA band. Obviously this is very bad as i live right near a K band speed sign. I just don't see the point of the bogey counter if there is gonna be ghosting. Is this a problem with my unit or is it common with V1s?

Ghosting was a problem on many many older V1 units, I know on my my .826 it still ghosts (just on rare occasions compared to older versions).

The newest ones (which you say you have), shouldnt be getting much ghosting at all, though I would say, with any V1 (as long as they have the multiple bogey mode/bogey locks), there is always a chance of ghosting.

I would certify the same issue with my v1 .... always get a KA with K band when it comes to full strength signal ..

Well it seems that this might be a problem with the latest version. What is it i forget 8.363? I just feel like this a a really bad problem to have. I have a color concealed display so when i see the Ka (blue) go off i really hit the brakes and it is annoying to get so many falses.

If you are testing it against a speed sign make sure there is not a second sign down the road a bit for oncoming traffic.

If there's a very strong K-band signal, then this signal can produce certain harmonics that trigger Ka-band alert.

Meh I'm not surprised by that considering the V1's extreme sensitivity

These ghosts should be pretty easy to identify, right (i.e. they happen when you're right on top of a K-band source and disappear soon after I presume)?

Is this common on other versions?
