New V1, first impressions

Just returned my X50 I got about 2 weeks ago and ordered a V1. Got it in the mail yesterday and all I can say is wow. I hear a lot of people complaining about the design and layout. Stating that it is old and needs to be updated. However, my impression is that they should leave things alone. This thing has a great design and has a specific target market for a user base. I think that less is more in the case of this radar detector. I've been using it for only a day and I can say that it is much easier to analyze what radar sources are around you with this simple design than with the useless displays on other radar detectors. I haven't run into too many LEO's yet, but do have to say that I love the sensitivity of this unit. It seems to have a much wider area of detection than the X50 did.

Build quality is exceptional and it comes with all the accessories that would push the price of the high end units to equal the V1.

Look forward to using this unit and don't think I will be disappointed like I was with the X50 for the cost.

Thats funny! It seems that the only one complaining about its design and layout is CP. Anything CP says isn't worth listening to.
