V1 3.864 arrived

made my commute to the houston airport yesterday morning and was very, very pleased with the results. still no actual threats- but still no annoying chattiness or falsing- even in A mode! the only time it started acting up was when i was a mile from the parking lot.. a point where it is safe to turn it off anyway. very pleased thus far.. will continue to report.

nice to hear you settled with the V1. Did you get a jammer?

well i had been wondering about my V1 3.863 and how little it falsed in comparison to my whistlers (check my sig).

i actually thought that there was something wrong with it at first but it picked up a few k falses they didnt so i guessed it was ok.

ryansandlins story is like mine so im not worried anymore now. thanks for clearing that up for me.

it always picks up laser on my jammer tests and last weekend i got the splash from a rear laser trap that was on an on-ramp on the other side of a dual carriageway here when i was going the other way so i know its good on laser. 99% of traps are laser here so radar isnt a big issue anyway but its good to know all the same.

nice to hear you settled with the V1. Did you get a jammer?

still have my ALG8 from 2006.. still not sure if its worth getting it reinstalled or not.

I can tell ya straight up that my old 3.826 chatted like a crazed women--when I sold it and got me the 3.863 that sucker is very quite!!! big differance. I wonder sometimes if its out of tune or something but its new so Im guessing its good to go

correct me if I'm wrong, but, I thought I read somewhere the new ones (autotuned) themselves where the old ones didn't? SOMETHING LIKE THAT??

Correct -- the 3.851 and above self-tune and throw an E on the display if it cannot tune itself within acceptable range, so you know if your detector's abilities are impaired.
