Anyone know when V1 spectre proof will be released?

I called last week and Customer Service keeps telling me, we are working on it and have no release date yet...


Anyone got inside scoop? Being a Commercial driver I need spectre proof and I have the STI, But would like a V1 also. Never owned a V1 and am itching to give it a try.

i doubt there will ever be a spectre proof v1....Mike V has no intention of making one

The CSR said they were working on it... Maybe the cost involved was too much to be competitive with The STI so they decided to trash the idea?

It sucks for people who drives in Commercial Vehicles and can't stand driving speed limit and people who live in Virigina, D.C., and some providence in Canada.

I probably need it too since they used Spectre on me too in TX and than used I/O Ka on me too in a pack of cars, the first time I encounter last week.

A Spectre proof V1 would be simply amazing. I have no need for it, but I'd still get the upgrade. The STi wouldn't have the monopoly then, and the people who were going to buy an STi would then have the option of buying a V1.

I think the biggest issue would be demand because only a couple of states currently ban the use of RD's so there really isn't a "market" for one. On the other hand if you stop and think about how many customers would want one just for the simple fact that police won't know if you have one in legal states. Then to me it would seem like better chances a spectre proof V1 would do better sales wise and be more worth it.

Yes, they have it in this State (State Troopers) and his spectre was on (I assume) and than once I came over the hill, he shot I/O Ka on any pack of cars and than I saw his head looking around confused to see which Car had RD in the opposite lane.

why does anyone need a v1 for a big rig? rear radar antenna will be blocked anyway inside the rig, i think sti does very well on front too , so v1 just for the benifit of front is not really a good deal right?

with the height of the rig, any good detector will do very well on higways and hey ur own eyes can probably see miles ahead.
