Hi I live in Rochester NY but travel frequently to NJ. I think x Band is still being used I think POP is also used. What do the experts suggest I set my V1 to?
I have 2 3.864 V!'s. I also just ordered a quad LI laser Jammer.

turn pop off...also turn x off and then switch it back on when you get to NJ

Can someone go over why everyone turns off POP. I thought upstate NY Police has POP. Even though I'm new to all this stuff seems like I've dived in pretty hard. In the past week I have 2 V1's and ordered the LI Quad head unit for my MDX. I'll be getting a Lexus LS 460 in a few months when my Acura RL lease is up and will need an other LI unit. Boy are these expensive though.
POP is not widely used and cannot be used "by itself" to issue a citation.
POP mode on the V1 makes it more susceptible to K and Ka falses.
It's been said that you will see a slight increase in sensitivity with POP off. See GOL's latest tests and decide for yourself whether or not to disable it. http://www.guysoflidar.com/august-20...ctor-test.html
