Interesting find while testing the V1
While testing the V1 with a tv remote (for laser) I noticed that the the "big L" on the display would increase in brightness when I pressed a button on the remote, even when it didn't trigger the laser alert.
Is this something everyone but me has noticed? Does the V1 change the brightness of the display when it sees a signal?
I don't have a straight answer for that, but I do know that it has a light sensor for changing brightness at day or night.

If your V1 sees more light, then it increases the display brightness to compensate and make the display easier to read. Your remote display must be pretty bright.
This happens in any mode, as a part of the auto-dimming circuitry... The V1's light intensity sensors on the main unit is shared with its LIDAR sensors. If it sees more intense IR light it will also increase screen brightness, thinking that the environment is brighter.
Where's the light sensor located? What's the best way to test the auto dimming function to see if mine is working correctly?
Same as the laser sensors. Shine a flashlight into the front or rear laser sensor.
Yeah, my parking garage is very bright so I see it dim when I leave at night or early in the morning.

does the V1 dim all its LEDs? how about it arrows? I've never noticed the arrows dimming
