Laser question
I was coming home from school on the freeway today in the far left lane and picked up a quick laser alert. First I looked on the median for a LEO, nothing, then I looked for an infinity, nope. I then got a quick glance at an unmarked passing in the opposite direction just behind an RSX or something. Do they shoot laser at people in front of them while under way? Thanks in advance yall!

Laser is stationary only. Your alert wasn't from the unmarked, unless a passenger was playing with the gun. Even if he tried to clock you, the gun would show the cruiser's speed + your speed (max, depending on the cosine factor due to angle).

yea...if u get hit with laser u wil see a leo aimin right at you..if he is good then he will be hidden somewhere..look for overpasses...btu most likely look for the infiniti heading right at u
Ahhhaaa! I was going right under an overpass... And come to think of it, I have not been seeing as many bimmer cycle LEOs' as much as before, they must be getting sneaky. looks like I've got a new LEO spot. Thanks guys.

Thats a good spot for a LEO. He can just sit there and when he gets a customer he can just take that u-ie and catch up behind him. And yea my bet was it might have been an infinity heading your way or an actual LEO shooting.
i mean if it isnt CONFIRMED then idk..if an infiniti was traveling at u with its laser thing on then that was is..just be careful in the spot

Jamming: Electronic Speed-Measuring Devices
28150. (a) No vehicle shall be equipped with any device that is designed for, or is capable of, jamming, scrambling, neutralizing, disabling, or otherwise interfering with radar, laser, or any other electronic device used by a law enforcement agency to measure the speed of moving objects.
(b) No person shall use, buy, possess, manufacture, sell, or otherwise distribute any device that is designed for jamming, scrambling, neutralizing, disabling, or otherwise interfering with radar, laser, or any other electronic device used by a law enforcement agency to measure the speed of moving objects.
(c) Except as provided in subdivision (d), a violation of subdivision (a) or (b) is an infraction.
(d) When a person possesses four or more devices in violation of subdivision (b), the person is guilty of a misdemeanor.
(e) Notwithstanding any other provision of law, a person who has a valid federal license for operating the devices described in this section may transport one or more of those devices if the license is carried in the vehicle transporting the device at all times when the device is being transported.

Thanks for the info! I think I can do without a jammer. This state is getting out of hand with our law makers. You can't even make an enduro motoorcycle street legal anymore because of hippy emmitions standards!! But what about the 323CI 5.3l chevy V8 that I wanna take off the road to use a 400cc enduro!!!??? Retarded. sorry for the rant...lol
