V1 and Traffipatrol XR

Hey guys, I just had an opportunity to test my LI jammer with Traffipatrol XR, it performed JTG flawlessly. That is indeed one hell of a jammer, I must say. On the other hand, I was terrified when I discovered V1 completely useless against Traffipatrol XR as it alerted only once and as I noticed only because of my jammer's scatter and not because of the Traffipatrol gun itself. Bascially, V1 didn't alert to the gun unless there were cars on the road in front of me, when the scatter got back from the jammer's heads to hit V1 sensor and then it alerted. I don't think Valentine Research will look into this as Traffipatrol XR is not a threat in the USA. But it surely is a threat in Europe and I am darn happy to have Laser Interceptor mounted for protection. I love my V1 and I would really fancy it even more if they could improve the Traffipatrol XR detection.

I am just guessing here,but I think that TraffiPatrol XR's pulse width(duration) must be below 15 or 10 nano seconds(other LiDAR guns have pulse width of 30 to 40 ns).I think that's why V1 does not respond properly to XR and not because of XR's ultra-high pulse rate.I know that V1 responds to 18.000pps/20ns pulse width,without problems.

Clandestine,don't give up on VR,yet.Let them know about XR problem.Remember a while ago when you were b!tching about adding X-band to EUR-mode?All it took us(you,me and a few others) was sending a couple of e-mails to VR and voila!...X-band was added in the next V1 rev.

Oh, I'm certain they will improve the detection, the only problem is that they probably don't have a Traffipatrol XR... I wonder whether they could get one for testing purposes... Hopefully they can I will send them an email, I would have to learn the exact technical data about the Traffipatrol XR's pulse rate and other technical details about its beam. I'm on the other hand pretty safe now as Laser Interceptor detects and jams it excellently.
