Back in the good old days when the CHP didn't run radar, this used to be a really fun drive. Now, with a ridiculously low 55 mph speed limit, it's a PITA.

The V1's good, but the game's tilting in favor of the LEOs. God help us if the idiot Democrats pass another ill conceived "Federal National Speed Limit" as currently written by House Democrat Jackie Speier.

With instant on,they will get you most times. The key is always try and find a rabbit or two.I know what you mean tho...trying to pass some of those slow or slower than slow peeps....but this is how we learn..lol

To be honest... even if someone gets a ticket, for the most part its not going to be any high-end detectors fault(unless it malfunctions/is broken/out of tune) etc etc.

It is simply operator error, because they are driving beyond the capabilities of the equipment (the sum of all their countermeasures) that they own.

    ..pulled over...for speeding??

..Anr yup,so true ....we have to drive within the capabilities of the detector. The one that got me a few years agao was an instant on,trying to pass a couple of cars on the slow lane. When i got in the fast lane i stayed there for like 5 minutes and next thing i knew,i got an all out k band and he was right back of me...
Since using "rabbits" and driving within the radar's capability like you said..i have not had any more tickets....but came close when i ignored a few bogeys close to a shopping mall i usually past everyday to work.I always get 2-3 bogeys on them, but this day i was getting 4.So i decided to slow way down and sure enough he was hiding behind a curve by the shopping centre. They are using places where we are getting lotsa falses.......as they know we that have RD's are most likely gonna ignore it....so be careful around areas where you get falses and pay attention to the more than normal bogeys..

V1 saved me from C/O Ka. 20 minutes later [this is at night] I'm on the highway and get paced by a LEO in a completely blacked-out cruiser. The V1 can only do so much.

That's genius...there must be some way for me to apply this...

I treat every Crown Vic as a cop until I can verify the driver's age, because every Crown Vic either has a LEO in it, or someone's grandparent.

yup i do the same thing, one day I was driving down the highway and my old 955 starts to show a ka alert, I slow down and wait. I see the alert ramping up but I cannot see any cop. It goes to full alert and over the hill comes a black crown vic, with nothing written on it, and no visible lights. Imagine what would have happened if I didn't have a RD.
