haha its still pretty exciting for me..i love when i slow down when im picking up radar and other people are looking at me weird and pass me at 80..then get a ticket.. then i look over and smile at them...dbags
I know what you mean.I have been saved countless times with my VI....
It is an amazing radar detector.....
..and hockey..i can relate to that feeling when they zoom pass you and get a ticket..lol
I love that! People look over at you like your some retard because you just went from 85 to 65 then a minute later they get pulled over...lol.
I have to say that I am nowhere close to going numb, I jump like a sleeping cat when I get a muted k band false... It's lame yet very good at the same time.

Dude, I had that same experience when I went to College last semester. I told that story on Real Experience Category. I had one particularly motorcycle cop running CO K Band (City Primary Band) sitting in that Speed Trap for 5 times in a month and I was slowing down in the left lane and he kept looking for my RD on the windshield but mine is up at RVM which average users don't really mount it there. It's a long story.I think it's just I've had so many saves in such a short period of time, it's rare for me to go a day without getting hit by something. I still get that thrill when I outbrake some shooting I/O with no warning, or spot someone shooting laser before they hit me. I think in one town alone in NH (Hollis) on my way to school I have over 25 saves in just one year. They now know I have a RD so they lay for me, and know when I come through (pulled me over twice on lame excuses, like "dirty plate", but never had any grounds for a ticket). Sometimes I won't be speeding and they'll hit me with I/O from behind just to watch my brake lights lights up, lol.
Anyways, I get upset when I have little warning on a straight road but still get saves in a very little warning. I never had a experience where someone would pass you and then a minute later they get pulled over, I would have been stoked for the rest of the day thinking about it.

Was this Salem, NH? I almost never see I/O there, usually their radars are on non-stop. I've had many C/O "saves" in Salem as a result.
Their Ka guns are Kustom (Golden) Eagles, which are 35.5 Ghz guns and hard to detect off-axis.
Seems like there's 3 kinds of roads in Salem: those with too much traffic, those with too many badly timed traffic lights, and then the rare ones that one can actually speed on, which are usually way underposted.

If I'm passing you on the right, YOU are in the wrong lane!
If speed kills, how come I'm still alive?
