Question about plug for V1...

Hey guys, the part on the phone jack connector that locks it in place into the V1 snapped off... the connector still will stay in place, but loosely. Will this affect the performance of my V1? I plan on getting a new cord soon but just want to know for short term use... haven't noticed any diff so far...

It could jiggle loose. Tape or rubberband it in place until your new cord comes in.

X2^ good advice

the same piece on my hardwire cable got a crack in it recently from taking it down on warm days. its still on it but the springiness is gone out of it and it was not too easy to get it to snap up when reconnecting it into the V1.

i took the wire completely out of the car and reinstalled it and swapped the side that was plugged into the unit for the one that was in the hardwire junction box as it was only connected in there once and still as good as new. the side with the cracked tab is staying in there fine and as it will not be disconnected every so often, it should last a good while in there hopefully.
