Should i make the upgrade from Passport 8500 x50 to Valentine1?

couple questions:

How is the Filtering on the Valentine 1?

would upgradign from my current 8500 x50 be a good idea?

I think you should try it out..well first off where do you live? if you live in a state with no X band you can turn that off which saves the majority of falses...also turn pop off because this saves many Ka falses.if u still want more filtering u can turn on some of the K band muting from behind options as well...overall the v1 is way more sensitive than the 8500 x50 and with the arrows and laser sensitivity you will love it! get one!

That's a new one on me. I know they give you a 30 day trial. I know Belscort has a swap program. At least they did.

Noooooooooooooooooo! Don't believe the hype. I made that mistake once.

I don't think the V1 filters anything.

If you live in Kansas or somewhere like that, then maybe the V1 won't drive you crazy. If you live in or near any decent sized city, X50 FTW.

i live in metro detroit and go to schoo l in ohio in the middle of nowhere

I'm in Clinton Township. I run 696,75, 275 and 94 on a regular basis and into Ohio and Indiana. The V1 has been solid for me. Don't let others make the decision for you. Give it a run for 30 day's and decide for yourself. If it's not a good fit, send it back. Easy as that.

If I could, I would own both...

Unfortunately that is about $1000 (with my 9500i) and doesnt even include jammers. That said, I live in a huge city and need the 9500 tech. Also, you get basically the same warning distance and time with either one. Its just that with the V1 you get more useful info if your travelling in the same direction for a long period of time (highways/interstates).
