Default For those who run with a V1 and an LI

I am curious if anyone disables the laser detection on the V1 while running with an LI.

I have a dual head LI so I have no rear laser protection but I have never seen the V1's rear detection capability. Is it actually viable? A laser alert from both would be an eye opener and I would think, a little crazy.

I would appreciate opinions. Is the LI enough up front or is it wise to leave the V1's laser enabled. What do you guy's think?

Just in case you do not know, the rear laser sensor is not the same sensor as the rear antenna sensor.

Thank you focal. I know where the rear laser sensor is.

When we did our testing, out of all of the detectors I had in my car the v1 was actually the only one to alert to rear laser. I had the v1, 955, pro 58, 8500, 9500i. And from what I can tell it is very reliable, actually it alerts better from the rear than some detectors alert from the front. No other detector even alerted to rear laser.

My V1 has only ever alerted me to the fact that i had an Infinity following me. Without a jammer a real rear laser alert would just let me know I had been clocked.

And yes I still have laser on on the V1 and the 9500ci. Sounds like an airplane about to crash when I get hit with laser. No way you can sleep through all that stuff!!!

I keep it on....my LI is not hooked up to my speakers so in the summer if I have my windows down and playing music u can barely hear a thing so the v1 will alert...windows up tho the LI speaker is fine...the performance is ever better

    Thank you!

That's what happened to me this weekend on a front encounter from about 100 yards.

In these situations, the V1 is louder than the LI's internal speaker and serves as a visual/audiable warning.

I recommand not turning off the laser on your V1.

I think corkguykev has posted a vid of his V1 picking up scatter from another vehicle being targetted that his LPP did not alert to.

I'd keep laser detection turned on on the V1 if I were you.

I agree. I'll leave it enabled.
