Is this the norm for rear detection?

Does not surprise me. Ive had rear Ka detections in excess of 1.0 miles on several occasions.

Was this a stationary or moving source?

No way is that the norm, based upon humidity and curves and such, but on a straight road on a dry day, totally possible. I got about 2 miles after I passed this LEO on both my V1 and my 9500ci, which has no rear facing antenna.

twice in the last week (today was the 2nd instance), I had a really late warning for Ka band with my 9500i which was off axis. Too late. I could've been screwed both times. Granted todays was in the pouring rain. I look forward to seeing if the V1 out performs it with instances like these.

He was at the bottom of a hill which curves, and facing on a right angle from the road I was traveling. Too late of a warning in my opinion, and it happened a few days ago as well.

I caught them from 5 miles away on a stright flat road in the dessert, so 1.8 isn't a problem for the V1.

Honestly, what really sets it apart are the arrows and the bogey counter. It helps eliminate traps in areas were there are known false alerts.

x2 i was using my sisters rx65 this past 2 weeks and i then i was like ah F$$$cked i miss my v1 and its ARROWS badly and with its raw sensitivty and then i switch them two.
