Guys do me a favor

When you start up your V1 listen to the tones and tell me if one of the tones is muted during the start up sequence. On my unit I am not sure if it is K or Ka but one of the tones sounds muted, is this normal?

X is normal volume, then it mutes, or lowers the volume on i think K and Ka, then laser comes back to normal volume. I'll double check when i go to work tomorrow morning, but i think this is what it does.

Focal- same for me, X alerts then mutes K and Ka then back to normal volume for laser

Think mine is the same, full tone X then muted tone K, then repeats once, then laser full tone.
No Ka tone.

You are going to feel silly when I tell you this but all you have to do to check it is turn both knobs up all the way then turn your unit on and you will hear full tone on both.

With 1.7's we have a feature that will sample both X and K band tones on muted and regular volume with a steady pattern.
And you thought new models had all the improvements?

I think it'll only play the muted alerts at startup when starting up in an L mode.

Thanks Paper, just wanted to make sure this was normal and one of the tones was not defective.
