its a custom color one by LANguy, so at this point I'd be screwed anyway since it voids the warranty

How bad is it? I mean is it like this huge drastic bend? or does it still work and its just SLIGHTLY leaning one way?

Oh it works fine. Its just a slight slant towards the arrows. basically if you flipped the display on its back and looked at the button from the profile, it'd look like this:


Its enough to feel when you press it, and see by eye...but it works.

it was like that when I got it from valentine, I don't even mess with the button. I actually noticed that same thing, but tested it and it worked fine. I just looked at mine and mine does the same thing. What I think the problem comes from is the sticker on the front. If they don't drill the hole perfect it makes the button lean a little. What happens is that it pulls on the button if they don't drill it exactly center. You can fix it if you want with a exact knife and cut some of the material away. Easy 3 minute fix.

I feel it everytime I press it, so I wondered if I got a bum unit or if it was common

the beast way to do it is take the unit apart and once you get to the front face plate cut as the picture shows, you can even use a dremel sanding drum to slowly get it perfect (personally I would leave it alone, because if you are not careful you can make it look really bad).
