    Default I broke my V1

Was driving around New Years day & it started. Random false alarms on X band with no radar source present. Then it got worse. They would not stop. V1 is a 10 year old 1.7 that & I love it much better then the current 1.8's. Sent it of to VR today for repair & tune up. Got to behave the next two weeks while I wait for its return. I am driving naked.

Yes he will. I had my 1.7 tuned up this past summer no problem.

My 1.7 has went in several times over the years & always returned. Last time for a tune up was in 2005.

Curious, what makes the 1.7 superior to the 1.8 in your opinion?

excellent. I always though Mike sent you a brand new v1 model when you sent yours in for repair.

I was under the impression he did that only if you opted to upgrade, and that costs a pretty penny as well.

Upgrading certain older models nets you a new unit. Just sending an old unit in for repair will not get you a new unit unless something went horribly wrong.

Yeah, I still have a 1.7 that had that happen when it was under warranty. It was my only V1 at the time. I feel your pain. There's a very good chance you'll have it back in under two weeks. Good luck.
