    Default Which V1?

    Im interested in getting a v1 and from reading thru this forum, version 3.813 is suppose to be the “best” version… should i try my luck finding a 3.813 or just get a new one? Is 3.813 really that much better or would the latest be just as good?

    You could be hunting a while to find a 3.813. Just get a new one and turn POP off. If you ever find a 3.813 buy it and sell the new one.

    I completely agree with category4 on this. A lot of people who had a 3.813 probably upgraded it not knowing better trying to keep up with the Jones.

    Avoid 3.861, they had an issue (my opinion at least) with that revision.

    If you turned on POP, the unit would sometimes alert X-band although X-band is turned off.

    I also have a 3.872 which I'm very happy with.

    me and Staton both have 3.813 and they are BOTH stellar performers with a bogey counter that can be relied on.
