I think its ok to correct a newcomer to the rules, but how you deliver it is what I have a problem with.. Newcomers are always going to make mistakes, this may be the first forum they have been to... and the old timers should deliver the rules with kid gloves IMO.

I was going to complain about this same thread popping up about once a week or so. However, what I planned to say will not begin to get the point across as well as VolvoRob's angry yelling post!

Nonetheless, Newkid, the 9500i and V1 are like coke and pepsi.... okay, not quite. They are more like BMW and Mercedes. Both top of the line awesome cars that will always be compared, but they do not set out to do the same thing. One is about crusing along in the most comfortable way as possible and looking good but still hauling ass. The other one is also has lots of creature comforts, but its goal is performance... The BMW (for the most part) is way better on the racetrack than the MB; however, the MB is much more enjoyable to drive on the autobahn (for the most part). The V1 is way better on the highway (for the most part); however, the 9500i is much more enjoyable in the city (for the most part).

To the unknowing person, they might as well be the same damn thing. But dude, its like you just signed into a German car enthusiust website and asked which is the better entry level sedan, BMW or MB? It is something we discuss ad nauseum... use the freaking search button! There is more information on this forum than you will probably ever read, let alone be able to grasp in just this one thread.

Yes I like to get straight to the point I don't have time to get all flowery on the debate but this forum has always had the Escort vs V1 debate since its inception which was when I joined and nothing good ever comes with by it.

Especially when you post it in the V1 forum and then the Escort Forum. Generally in the Escort forum you will be recommended the escort and the V1 forum the V1.

There is no correct answer or detector that suits everyone and there probably never will be
