He actually did PM me about it.![]()
I basically said that the V1 is an expensive unit, and I wouldn't take any chances. I told him that I had read on the forum that a few people had done it before, but not to take my word for it.
I know the pinout of the V1 well, but I never bothered to check the RX-65...

HELP
yes ,no
must be some one with super duper knowledge
will not try till someone can confirm that they have done it or an administator can set me straight
cheers all
sorry "smartassaab"
missed that you were an admin
mmm
how can i confirm whats what
phill why do you want to do that?...... and i think you can use a telephone cord if you want a low profile doctor for the bike 8)
I do not think that Mike V would design a cord that would be compatible with a bell's Rx 65 unit  , but on the other hand could it be that bell base a designed on V1's cord :mrgreen:it may work (dont think so) good luck let me know how you get on.
hey there
thanks for the mpegs a few weeks ago did you get my return email asking what the distances were on the speedo
have the hard wire for the 65 already run on the bike
am still after second hand v1 and most only come with cigi adapter and no hard wire...
im jst a tight bastard and dont have the extra cash to buy a new hard wire for v1 at $60ish after ive brought the v1 unit
I had simple phone wire for powering RX65 with two lines inside - red for voltage, green for ground.
I got V1 and tested that the order of lines were opposite. I switched them in phone wire, but V1 didn't start - it requires the Mute grounding.
$60ish? You can get the power adapter for $13 (or with the cord for $19), plus the wire tap (if you need it) for $1. And this is direct from VR. So you're out 20 bucks plus shipping at worst.Originally Posted by philnz
