V1 not working so good

We,ll, my wife surprised me last week by bringing me home a V1, I was floored,
I ran out to the truck mounted the RX65 in her car and awaited the morning commute. It was 3 days and have not hear a thing,I did pick up a motorcop running KA but i was 100feet from him, checked the programming,
dro ve up to walgreens front door silent? My number ends in serial 666 but im not scared,just need it to alert, It has 3.789 and VR says it only lacks pop.
The question is tune up or upgrade?My wife got this from a pawn,$250.00she just did not know,but sure i was glad to get it. I will love any feedback.

Thanks for getting back so fast.Oh yeah One more thing,My power on knob is freakin long,Maybe 1" long,the mute controll is is around the base of the knob not behind it, never saw this style before have you guys?

Ok i got it back friday,here is the funny thing,my crazy long power knob is changed out? i dont know why they did this but i think they changed the display,also they cleaned it really good,if it was not for the scuff marks on the ridges for the windshield mount i would have thought they replaced the whole thing,Works great now,but i kinda dug the old knob,i'll live.

I've never even seen that long power knob before! Was that standard with 3.789?
