he used valentine one because i Requested that he make a video with the valentine one please people don't put him down or give him the thumps down i believe we should thank him for making the videos he's not against radar detectors as far as i know. not only that all you here all over these and many other forums is things like. v1 is the king,v1 is the best, get a v1, v1 has the best range, blah blah blah so why not Test with the best if most people say it is.

I Would love to here a thank you for the police officer who took time out to share something with us some videos on his radar some of us may or may not of learns something but if no one puts the information out there for people to find how are we ment to find it learn it. I Believe Knowledge Is Power and the more of it the better

I don't think anyone has anything against him, we just question whether the V1 would have caught the I/O shots had it been in another vehicle about a 1/2 mile away.

    I'm betting it would.

Anyone out there with an Escort 9500i or ix try quick triggering with a radar gun. I guarantee you the Escort will not alert nearly as many times as the V1 did. I have tried this myself.

When I say quick trigger, I mean use a handheld radar unit and literally just pull the trigger and release. Almost like clicking the mouse on a computer. You will get a speed almost every time. You can clock car after car and the Escort won't go off. On the V1, it may not go off every time, but on the V1 it will go off more often than the Escort.

This has nothing to do with detection, though. It has more to do with filtering. Escort doesn't want their units to be as chatty, so it waits for the signal to be present for a longer period of time before alerting. The V1s threshold is much lower.

I don't care what detector you put in the place of the V1. The results would have largely been the same.

It has nothing to do with the detector being used, it is a matter of physics.

By that logic, Cobra must be the best of all because they have more bands than ANY OTHER COMPANY including Escort!
